The majority of the time, you will see your practitioner. When occasions arise and she is unavailable, another member of the group can care for you. One of the office physicians or a member of our group will always be on call and available to respond to any urgent needs that may arise.
We see non-emergency patients by appointment only. Please call us as far in advance as possible to schedule an appointment. If you have been referred to our office by another physician, please ask the physician to send any pertinent records/results prior to the appointment.
To help us serve you better, please plan on arriving 10-20 minutes before your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment. Occasionally, we will need to reschedule your appointment due to an emergency delivery. We ask for your patience and understanding. If this situation arises, we will try to notify you in advance of your appointment. If you are traveling a significant distance to our office, we encourage you to call to confirm your appointment.
Our office will be notified of most test results within one week. More complicated tests take additional time. Some tests require a follow-up appointment to discuss the results and plan subsequent treatment. You will be advised of this at the time of the test or by phone when your results arrive. For other tests we will contact you by phone if results are abnormal and by mail if results are normal. Should you have questions regarding your results, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Your medical records are confidential. You may see and copy your records and ask that your records be corrected, but we will not release copies of your records without your written permission. Please click here to see our complete policy and additional information.
BILLING AND INSURANCE
We bill many insurance companies directly. If you have an insurance we do not bill, we will give you a copy of the fee slip so your insurance can reimburse you. Our policy is payment at the time of service for any insurance that we do not bill.
Insurance carriers require that annual gynecological exams, which include a complete physical exam, be billed under preventive medicine codes. Please check with your insurance provider before your appointment to determine if these services are covered. A specific problem or concern may need to be addressed on a separate visit.
You are responsible for any balance on your account regardless of insurance coverage. For your convenience we accept visa and mastercard.
Our fees only reflect the services provided in our office. Lab specimens are sent to outside labs for processing. These labs will send you a separate bill for any services they provide. Please contact them directly if you have questions regarding your bill.
There will be a $10 fee for each form submitted. If you submit your form on Monday or Tuesday, it should be ready on Friday. If you submit your form Wednesday-Friday, it will be ready the following week. In order to expedite your form requests, we ask that you please hand these forms to our front desk personnel, not directly to our providers. Please always call us before coming to pick up your form to ensure it is ready for you.
Thank you for taking the time to get more familiar with our practice. We welcome your suggestions.
